Howdy doody one and all! Just after some information on it in general really I got a 0700 vbs tomorrow is it a but of a nightmare? Any info be brilliant thanks 
i find tilbury the best of a bad bunch,long as your vbs is ok,and your box out as no problems you will have no problems .

yeh thats right m8,A13 onto a1089 just follow your nose over first island then road bends to left just after that you will see dock gate on right ,turn in through police gates then right at mini roundbout,then just follow to the end,all the best!!

Just remember to stop at the white line on the way out the main gate otherwise the security chap gets rather annoyed as Ifound out the first time I went there

Roger!! I had a run in with a dwarf on gate 2 in Felixstowe horrible old woman first time i went there lol Gate guards are a weird little creature hahah!
Well got there for my book in time at 7 didn’t get out of there until 10 haha! Brilliant still enjoyed every minute!

but on the whle, 39 berth isn’t too bad, once you know the procedures, you’ll have it sussed.

the day was made worse by the fact my planner had not book my import box on so once id been in and boxed off i had to come out n do it all again half seven i left the place

Thanks. Does this mean if you’re going in to get a container or drop one off you have to be pre-booked and arrive at a set time to be allowed in?

yep.
vbs, is as stated, “vehicle booking system”
on the whole it works pretty well, and they are hour slots, so, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 and so on.
if your running early or late, in most cases if you have the right phone numbers, it is possible to get the vbs moved forward, or maybe extended if your running abit late.
seems to work ok most of the time in tilbury and southampton.

Nay on 50 mins from vbs barrier to two trucks off the seal check gantry was chaos there first thing! Then trailer changed at goldstars yard then back to Southampton for a liftoff easy day really turned into 12hrs mind haha

it was a joke and then when i came out of the docks i had to do a dodgy right turn due to a rollover on the roundabout
southampton for me is the best run dock around
