Thunderbolt and lightning

Very, very frightning !
How many of you have experienced a tornado whilst driving over here ? I just wondered because I have seen a few from afar.
One night as Myself and another guy (running team at the time) were sleeping at some small truckstop near the LA /TX line I woke to feel the cab shaking so violently and such horrific noise outside, the other guy never even stired and when I woke up and got out next morning a whole line had been cut through the forrest abdout 100 feet away and a shed had vanished :open_mouth:
We just had tornado warnings here this morning and I thought our house was going to Kansas Toto. The storm knocked out TV and phone for 2 hours.

Been watching on TV about the tornados and that hail storm last week with stones the size of baseballs man that was just crazy

hi pat, been on the tailend of two whilst driving, one in atlanta and one in washington dc, it was a bit frightening, only thing i could see was the tail lights of the truck in front, i darent stop for fear off being run over by another truck , bits of trees flying everywhere, also when i lived up near where you are we had the end of one come through, it blew down hundreds of trees in mechanicville, kept us busy in the fire co putting out fires from downed power poles :open_mouth:
cheers diesel

We seem to be lucky in Whitehall in that were protected to a certain extent by the mountains that are so close, Tornados always travel west to east and that line of mountains that start literally a block away drop the power of such storms. We had a tornado warning about 2 months ago but it was just strong winds … touch wood after saying that  Anyway Mick the wind here is nothing to your ■■■■■
