after reading dave youngs editorial in T&D this month about how everyone at truckfest told him there struggling he then writes about a firm that parks a truck everytime a driver has a holiday etc. but its not just that its also when haulage bosses go out and buy flash cars or in some cases boats then theres firms that have a fleet of custom trucks with enough bling on there motors to make any american rapper jealous.so please if your any of the above stop saying theres no money in this game cuz we can see there is we aint blind and we aint bloody stupid. 
Theres a firm near me that also parks trucks up when the regular drivers are on holiday as by the time the boss has paid the drivers holiday pay then paid for an agency driver and the extra insurance premium for the agency driver then the fuel it does work out cheaper to leave a truck parked up
Which just shows the sorry state of trucking nowadays
