And i forgot to mention its illegal to have a screen in truck when moving .
Double illegal to have it postioned within area of wiper blades .
Can easy unsight a cyclist or pedestrian with that contraption in screen .
And worse still when you not in i have to spend all day looking at little round suction cup marks on me screen which will annoy the hell out of me
boredwivdrivin:

fluoxetine?
Number plate start with GN Evil? Haha. Haydock still have a couple of bolloxed Eurocargo’s and 13 tonne Merc Atego crappers.
600k knackered piles of [zb]. When you are a bit better thought of, you may progress onto DAF LF’s. If you are REALLY lucky, you will get a Merc Antos 8 speed auto thing. 14/15 plate.
P.S. Is your frozen bulkhead strapped up/together with ratchet straps? Lol.

I have no idea what I’m talking about, I really ought to be eating humble pie and apologizing to “The Idiot” on another thread, but I’m too full of crap so I’ll just loiter around here with intent

LOL - That’s sad that you know the first 2 letters of the Reg. See someone about that!
And I photoshoped the branding out!
I doubt there is much chance of me getting anything better, as most of the fleet looks like that!
And I was envious of the new motors pulling out being driven by the full timers.
But that’s the way it’s got to be, and I’ve no issue with that!
And in a word no, the bulkheads I’ve seen so far are not that shagged, and not bodged as far as i can see. Gee, arn’t I lucky!
But what does get on my ■■■■, is that the ratchet straps have never ever seen a bit of lube!
(I’ll leave that joke to you…)
later Dozy’s mate!
Where would the industry be without newbies prepared to run bent .agencies would fold overnight

Thanks for the well informed, detailed and expertly argued comment!
P.S. That’s sarcasm for; what you on about pal?
Fair play to you mate. Its the way into the driving game and I found it really good experience. If you are half decent, they will give you full time perm. It just gets on your nerves having to decant the cages into the shops.
I might have to do the odd Tesco delivery. But no more hands and knees emptying cages!! Green curtains are the way forward lol.
Who mentioned newbies running bent Mercury?
I mean where I live itsants to do the work .chesterfield is awash with agents seeki g newbies to run bent for the cowboy outfits that have no idea of regs …just money .who breaks the law for these muppets …newbies .poor souls jobs for the boys and they get pensions .disgrace
I’m not arguing .just meeting newbies no the endemic corruption on agemcies
Don’t worry yourself fella. Evil and I will manage ok.
Be an agent .you’ll never see a 12 hour shift
Get some sleep mate.
EvilB, have you experienced the Asian shopkeeper guard of honour yet? Two or three will stand uniformly and watch you lug stuff about, shut doors on you and generally get in your way. They wont help you and if you do ask, they no understandy.
My advice is never look too interested in what you deliver, or you’ll be held up by people complaining about products, prices, asking advice, boring you with their experiences etc. If you ever do builders merchants this is particularly important as the minute you ask a homeowner “what are you doing?” you’ll get the full lowdown from problems with the council, neighbourhood watch members objecting, how much topsoil they’ll need etc.

It is not illegal to have a satnav in a truck. Police cars, ambulances and taxis all have satnavs on their windscreens. Only time it is questionable is if you have it right in front of you obscuring your direct view. Mine is a few inches up the windscreen and to the left and it hides nothing, unlike the huge mirrors and mirror arms that can easily hide a car on roundabouts.
The days of lorry drivers blocking off garage forecourts (and cycle paths) whilst they used to try to find streets in strange towns has long since gone. Even cycle and motorcycle couriers have waterproof satnavs nowadays.
Id love to try a bit of multidrop class 2 on the agency on one of my days off.
But I would employ my box jockey mentality… I.e. get to shop, park, open doors (if they are lucky) then say, here you go lads all yours just knock me door when your finished ill be having a kip.
Cant believe you guys unload for em.
Come to think of it I would be useless on parcel deliveries, prolly explains why I aint paid very much…

I think an image is worth a thousand words mate, so here’s a pic of the stallion!
Its a nice small truck, you gonna manage it very soon
