Ihave seen this truck up close when loading by a customer from us
it was pulling a foodtanker at the time and the driver was very pleased
with it then. The firm in question does have good wagons at all times
and so they are looked after but you willfind that the scania has done
Hardwork as in holland 50tns is allowed and if i am right 44tns for
Benelux, Would make a good advertisment as it will bring in more
work if used correctly by the new owner,

This truck was in T&D or Trucking, the guy is Dutch and he had a bar in Spain, then decided to go back to trucking, so sold the bar and had this truck built. His idea was to live in the truck full time, hence the water heater and fresh/waste water tanks for the dish washer/washing machine/shower/flushing toilet, the piccys of the interior were certainaly impressive as the finish was equal to a high quality motor home. But problems arose when he put it over a weighbridge with an empty semi tanker. Despite the tanker being a lightweight special the tare weight was out of orbit, so things like the generator, spare wheels and trailor landing gear were removed to try and get the weight down a bit, but it was still a fair bit over the norm, but nice truck though even if it is a Scanny :smiling_imp:

I am not so sure about the idea that he was not light enough, I drive
tanks with a tare of 5.800 kg and a capacity to load a volume of 32.000-
34.000 lires if liquid these tanks are one complete chamber with swish
boards will use a light tractor unit which in turn weighs 6.000kg this
means for normal use a 28.200kg load or when useing the train a load
of32.200kg on 5 axles and 280bhp, and yes it must work and pay or
we would not be useing this type of truck-tank combination. IF they idea
had been perhaps a little bit longer checked out then the answer may
have been much more different, The problem is that although we have EU
the testing standards are different in every members country ,the houbar
tanks weigh about 10,000-9.000kg with 3axles and the same is of some
tanks from beglium, In Germany they start at 4.000 for a aluiminium —
–tank and with steel (VA 4) AT 5:800KG–7:500KG IT DEPENDS what
you wish to do with the tank and how much you wish to pay out for it.

PRE-planing brings the costs down and will show if the idea is a
working and viable propasition,

you might wanna try adding the www aswell

harberstrucks.nl/index.php/N … uck_id=692

now it works fine

Just to for those who can’t find it (or more likely can’t be bothered!! )

I wonder if it would’ve worked with a cab-over??

Nice Motor

I’d like to see a wagon and drag cabover version of the longline.
