I’m not going over the whole 40 pages as I have little time and less inclination.
Barrie, I guess it’s good to see the mission goes on for you. We’ve known of each other over 11 years now and have maybe differed once or twice.
First, was the origin of the PDA somewhere else and with a particularly toxic individual that you and I both had trouble with? What has changed? Are you and Pat on each other’s friends list now?
Next, this talk of unity. It’s been the same as it ever was- talk. There are some member of the forums that I’d prefer not to even be on the same planet with, let alone some club or secret society. I know they feel the same way. So there’s no real unity is there.
I know you’ve campaigned hard. I know you’ve met countless politicos and other bodies. Fact is they’ve all paid lip service to you, and to all drivers, then gone home for supper and cursed the trucks that maybe slowed them down and let their chips get cold. The politicos are worst because they know they have to please their constituents so a 7.5 tone limit is a good start to them.
None of them, not the government or the FTA or RHA or anyone gives a ■■■■ about any of us. They care nothing for the issues, they just want you to go away so they can forget you. When there was a fuel blockade planned in 04, all the forums and agencies dropped it like hot bricks. Nobody was prepared to stand. I thought I was going to get brained down at Plymouth because I was alone waiting for others.
So explain this idea of unity please.

SO WHAT I log on every weekend but don’t always post. I have an interest in a lot of things but won’t post on silly threads. Might still read them though
