These threads have reminded me of a very odd place in NW Birmingham (Poss off J.3, but I always came at it from a different way every time I went there, & it was about 6 or 7 years ago now 
). It was a large P & D car park that lorrys would park in, just opp The Orange Tree pub.A guy in one of the houses would do you meals, you could ring him up & tell him what time you’d be there & he’d bring your meal out to you on a tray.
He offered me the use of his shower once, to which I politely declined! 
It was a v odd experience!
