why are most betz trucks u see missing the sun visor?im guessing they are never specced when they are brought, like dafs they dont look good without them

what i don’t understand is how the small cabbed actros will probably have 2 drivers yet the megaspace like the italian will probably only have 1.
the megaspace ones in spain only have 1 driver maybe only the small cabs are for the brokeback mountain brigade?
When I was at Betz-Belgium,we were told that the reason the Italians and some of the Austrians have the Mega-Space,is because it’s all down to the general manager’s of Betz Italia and Betz Austria.They spec the trucks and can say which model they have.Most of the old Mega-Space in Italy and Austria were 1846’s,but they are now 1844’s.
They also want the more prestigious cabs to pull the enclosed car carriers,which more often than not,contain Ferrarri’s,Lamborghini’s and Bugatti’s.
Having said that,the policy seems to be changing as there are an increasing number of new MP3 Mega-Space’s to be seen on Polish,Lithuanian,Spanish and Portugese plates.

The reason a lot of trucks leave the grill up in hot countries Betz, is so the engine cools down a bit quicker so not so much heat comes up thru the engine cover, thus helping to cool the inside of the truck quicker.
it’s usually done when idling in order not to overheat, mr.betz has a satellite dish which points to the need to charge the batteries at a certain interval, if not only to cool the cabin
Saw this Bulgarian unloading empty stillages at Exide Batteries,Archennes,Belgium.
This Latvian Betz was loading at Arcelor Mittal,Genk.
And this Magnum was seen this week in St.Dizier,France.Most of the French registered Betz trucks are on Dept.77 plates,but this one is on Dept.59 suggesting that it is on the Toyota contract from Valenciennes.
Sorry I couldn’t get the fleet number Ben,but I was having repairs done at Mercedes.

those look like hungarian plates and afaik betz doesn’t have any terminals in the baltics and no trucks registered here either.

I’m sorry but I beg to differ,there are many Latvian and Lithuanian Betz trucks on the road.And the pic I took in Genk,it was definately a Latvian reg.
There are also a lot of Lithuanian regd Betz car transporters about too.
Maybe you’re not looking hard enough,or in the right places

That’s a strange one, bit of a hybrid isn’t it? It’s got FH16 lower grille trim, FH16 chrome mirror trim (but not along the top of the door to the back of the cab), latest sun visor from the new shape, new shape main grille, but previous model headlights. Hmmmmm 
theres 10 of them new magnums running out of the hilton depot and one of em is red looks nice

At moment Mr Betz bought over hundreds of Renault Magnum - drawbars & solo units
some colours are dark blue, red, silver, yellow, black and white! What is going on? Mr Betz turn the Betz Rainbow livery
I prefer the Mercedes than magnum
