I think Im going to have to work on my defence rather than try to understand the hours rules…
Having thought I understood most of the drivers hours rules there has been a lot of misinformation amongst drivers which have without doubt caused me to break the law, Im lucky to have not been stopped by vosa or police but when I do Im gonna be in deep ■■■■ no doubt.

I would say that one of your first priorities now should be to learn the regulations to keep out of any further trouble, you know enough to believe you’ve not complied with the rules so you can’t be that un-knowledgeable.

learning the regs and trying to plan it into the day is made harder now by the wtd so what ive been doing is having a 45 at the end of 6 hours unless ive done 4.5 driving in that time before the 6 hours is up.
trying to calculate hours just using my head is causing brain fade and if you/I think we have made a correct calculation which turns out to be wrong, the offense is already committed for the next 5 years

Are you a driver? Have you never been in a situation where you are on the move, close to your hours and no where to park ?
