Just taken a double course with Ribble Valley HGV at Darwin, class c and c/e i passed my c/e today thanks to john who trained me, he is a bit grumpy but for the right reasons, as i passed both first time thank god because i could’nt afford retests due to redundancy. so thanks to ribble valley for the pressure it worked i also think they was quite cheep at 1695 i paid anyhow just the cpc 4 now and im off. A BIG THANKS TO RIBBLE VALLEY.
The cynic in me is screaming that this is a classic example of the spam tosh that is infecting so much of our internet, but then the realist in me points out that the spamming is happening where nobody has a real need for the service !
Checking out the OPs other posts … not spam to me
Well done OP

Rog is not easily fooled you knows !
The reason i said the company’s name is one of the chaps on here asked me to keep him updated on the firm i used, because he had not herd a lot about the company so i was clearly updating the site and any newbies that want a cheep hgv,
But you would have to put up with grumpy john if you get things wrong.
not spam just my opinion on my experience and advise to others. is this not what a truckers forum is for? WHY DO SOME PEOPLE ALWAYS THINK BADLY ABOUT EVERYTHING THE PROBLEM IS WITH YOURSELF■■?
That is cheap, if I had passed my class 2 first time it would have cost me £2600 for both licences + £300 for DCPC. As it is I failed cat C 3 times @ £300 a re-test and a DCPC failure @ £120 for a re-test.
All in I paid £3620 for my licences. A lot of money now I think about it
Well they told me if i fail it was 400 quid for a retest. they also told me in September they have to put a few tonne all hgvs so the price is going to rocket.

Don’t worry too much about it sweeper1gg, you’ll see a lot off negative remarks on this site, mostly by sad, grumpy old twisted and bitter no marks. Stick to the likes of ROG and dar1976 and you can see that the people with proper experience and proper good advice outnumber the ar$e$
Well done to you and good luck for the future buddy.

Hi sweeper1gg,
CONGRATULATIONS on passing your LGV “C” and “C+E” tests
It’s great when we get feedback like this, so thanks very much for the recommendation.
I’ve now added RIBBLE VALLEY to the TN list of recommended LGV training providers.

Chas,
I’m also a cynic and I’d say that I think spam annoys just about everybody, but the Admin/Mod Team do their very best to prevent/remove spammers.
On TN, there is a standing request for feedback type recommendations for when members have had a good experience with an LGV driving school, so IMHO it’s to the OP’s credit that he took the time and trouble to make a recommendation and tell us of his experience.

I tried to qualify that I was just being cynical by mentioning that it would be pointless to spam TNUK with a glowing report for a service non of us needs. After all, who needs a good driver training Co’ when we’ve all passed our tests?
It’s just me being cynical, as I get older & wiser I seem to be getting more cynical by the day, in fact I seem to have become a prude almost overnight as well !

Hi Chas,
I took your point, and I agree with what you’ve just said.
However, this is the Newbies’ Forum, and there are those who have been saved from the hands of brokers by having started reading posts in here before they booked their training and tests, so if even one person gets saved from paying over the odds by choosing a broker, then it’s all very worthwhile IMHO.
Stick to the likes of ROG and dar1976 …
Well blow me down. I’ve got official endorsement .
Congrats to the OP on the passes.
PS. There are a few other goodens on here.
