I have seen mention of this (using phone to access tinternet) , so today I decided to switch my router off and give it a go . ive got apple I phone running 3 network . I connected phone to my laptop via usb port and zilch ■■? I tried going into settings and looking for clues but there wasn’t anything obvious , well not to me anyway 
. can anyone give me a few clues as to how to go about it ■■ thanks in advance
Internet tethering is a way of using your phone as a WIFI hot spot, which you then connect your laptop/tablet to.
It doesn’t usually work via a cable, it can be done this way. Not sure how it is specifically setup on an Iphone.
