terry's of york

hey all,
does anyone have pictures from terry’s of york, old/new anything

Hi mjbaron, I have delivered to Terry’s of York many times whilst working for Flowers and M&H Jacksons, but I never took any photos. You might try Malcolm Slater from Huntington, he has been just about everywhere with his camera, although his forte is fairgrounds he might just be able to help you out. If he can’t he may know someone who can. Its a shot in the dark but you never know !
Good luck regards Tony H.

A few pics found over the years not my photos

I picked up a load of peanuts from a warehouse in Catford back in the early 70s destined for Terry’s York, It was a handball job onto the flat trailer & they were in hessian sacks, Bloody heavy things & you couldn’t drag them up the trailer as they’d split, My hands were red raw when I’d finished loading them then roping & sheeting.

The first thing the guy said to me when I arrived there was, I hope you’ve not been eating any of the spillages as they’ve been treated to ward off rodents :open_mouth: I said nah mate I haven’t touched any, never much cared for nuts anyway. He said they have to be cleaned before we can use them, I don’t know whether he was taking the micky or what.
