Temp Work for CAT C Driver

Hi All,

Only just passed my CAT C today. My licence has been sent away, so awaiting for new D/L and CPC Card. Also ordered Digital Tachograph Card. If it exists, I would like to be an HGV Trade Plate Driver, delivering new lorries that have been fabricated or being sent for fabrication…Any ideas please? Or Agency work in the Newport/Cardiff Area.

You’ll first want to speak to someone who does, or has done, that kind of work, it’s non-standard to say the least, and you’ll probably need to be a dab hand at hitchhiking

If it’s new kit being delivered I would say taking a new pass on might be risky for an employer. Having any damage in transit would be much grief for the firm.

Get some experience though in what you can find going and you will be improving your chances considerably.

+1 I would definitely think moderation of expectations would be required. But fantastic news on the pass, and just get the experience in, with your goal in the future.
