I wondered if there are any ex Tate and Lyle drivers that could give me with some information to help with a restoration project?
I recently found and bought an ex Tate and Lyle Mercedes 1729 tractor unit, F758 HUS . The truck was found on a farm, covered over with brambles and virtually derelict. The aim is to restore it!!■■
I know nothing about its history other than it might have been based in Scotland and its fleet number was 1633.
It would be great to hear from anyone who knows something of its history and even better if anyone has pictures of it when it was working.
