Overview of Cauldon Low taken mid 90s.

This is Bankfield quarry Clitheroe.

Couple of internal wagons at Bankfield taken mid 90s. Maybe were once tippers?

Nice to see a couple of Dene lorries on there Bonkey, Nigel Wood still runs a Foden but I see that one of Smiths of Bletchindon’s eight leggers is in his yard as well now. Not one that Nathan (muckaway) had, it’s too clean! :slight_smile:

Here’s one for you mate.1947 model Ford model 7V 5tonner was new to Tarmac Ltd @ their Corby depot.This vehicle has been restored and returned to the Tarmac livery of the day and was photographed in 1992.

i have a picture of the entire fleet at Corby circa 1940 on my office wall…an original shot from by the old garage, I’ll scan it in over the next few days…Tarmac did not have any quarries in Somerset in that era, so not sure where they think it came from…

The garage was still standing until about 1994, if I remember, I often worked at Tarmac Corby in those days, it was on Geddington Road, Corby, it closed soo after the A1/M1 Link, the A14 was built…
