Those Mercury artics ran into Staveley Chemicals,from Coleshill I think - at least Coleshill was written on the wagon somewhere - they were double-shifted.Odd times an Atki with a tandem axled tank would come in but mostly the Mercurys.

Probably was Coleshill, which is still going. Hoyer (Air Liquide) based 2 artics in Air Products, Didcot to save them running down from Coleshill all the time. Now Sutton’s have taken Air Liquide off Hoyers they have kept the 2 wagons at Didcot, just put 2 new FM Globetrotters in to replace Hoyers Scania’s, not got a pic of them yet each time I in there so far they been out, as soon as I have I will post them on here!

Thanks for that Chris. Didn’t Wincanton do a bit for AP at one time? I think I remember seeing something on here about their terms and conditions for drivers on the contract. Nobody seemed to be impressed! I know they were on good money when it was in-house years ago.

This was my wagon on Air Products, had her for nearly 6 years before they were replaced when Wincanton took over the contract A.P. was an awesome job & Iwould have worked for them until I retired no problem! But hey ho, times change, the money did drop quite a bit when they 1st took over but it’s back up again now, Wincanton still run the Bulk fleet, but all the smaller tanks are filled by us now Cryoservice, we are mostly owned by A.P. now!
