Hello People
Sorry again but life had taken interesting turns and so did the business :smiley: all good news for those worrying I had quit my job when I got to 7 units and have since stopped subbing for larger hauliers and what you probably won’t believe is I went into another venture separate to my own but still after the same work and we have now in total got 15 trucks on the road and we hope to stabilise now for a bit as we can’t add more trucks since yard is full so we are now looking for a yard.
If any of you know somewhere we can get 3/4 to an acre give me a line and no not eling wharf or marchwood

Don’t forget though all he’s done so far is the easy bit that anyone can do ,wait until things need replacing ect ect .

I’m struggling to believe that he’s put 15 on in a year…or at least put 15 on and make any money. We can all double our fleet size and simultaneously cut the profit margin to bu88er all.

You don’t 'build up ’ 15 that quick ,you either launder money or borrow a lot or make a big mistake by spending what you have earned easier in another business .

My suspicions were raised further back in this thread when he’d gone from 1 to 5units inside 6months.
Can’t believe if he exists that nobody on Trucknet has an inkling who he is up to 15units in 1st year!!![emoji52]

I’ll buck the trend here and take Ha5ham’s post at face value, and say “well done”. I was hoping to grow my own transport business beyond one truck and never did, but I’ll be the first to admit that this was largely through my own apathy, if he has managed to build his company to 15 trucks through hard work and good luck then fair play to the man.
