Hello, although we each use a designated lory, so you have your own lory most days, we do have to change at times to drop off and pick up lorries from the workshop. You might have to change lorries two or three times before setting off on a job. Question is why do some tachographs add your driving and rest time and others don’t. So if I have done an hour in one and then an hour in the second, the third will show the two hours driving yet some others show your time as zero as if you have just started the day. I know you can do a print to see exact hours worked but I mean by just looking at the tacho drop down. I have also been told we should not do tacho prints. If we do a print it has to be kept with a copy and reason for the print sent to the office.
All the times I’ve swapped units the driving hours have always shown up on the tacho so not sure why it’s not doing it for you, you can do a printout to see what driving time you’ve done and there’s no need to keep the printout or write anything on the back.
The data you’re talking about is read off the driver card, I don’t see why it would not show all the times unless you’ve made a mistake with the manual entry when changing motors.
I’ve changed motors plenty of times and I’ve never had the problem you describe.
