Tacho question, help please

kitbuilder123:
Why can’t he move it after 15 and then take 30 minutes? Or 45 or an hour or whatever?

Says in the op he had driven 4 and a half.

So it does, my bad. Some planning though to arrive bang on 4.5

Why don’t YOU move it then have another 30 mins.

That’s what I mean. I’d move it for them as long as my 15 was up and make it clear that you won’t move it again for them until at least 30 minutes have passed. Don’t see the problem really.

And what if the vehicles isn’t unloaded and therefore can’t be moved until well after 15 minutes

Anyway, why move it at-all when he doesn’t have to, he’s already said the loaders will move it when it needs moving, so he won’t have to interrupt his break.

If it can’t be moved until well after 15 mins is up then it still counts as a 15 break. Even if it 16 or 19 or 23 etc etc. and I realise he doesn’t have to move it himself.
Put it where they want it for unloading, then as long as at least 15 minutes have passed, put it where they want for loading and take at least 30 minutes. Job done, no cards removed, no printouts no hassle.

Yes I do know what a split break is

Anyway you’re missing the point, regardless of whether or not he’s got enough driving time to move the vehicle, if it takes 35/40 to load the vehicle then he moves it he’s got to have another 30 minutes break.

The OP has already said that someone else will move the vehicle so where’s the problem, there is no hassle in taking a card out, he doesn’t legally need a printout, and he can enjoy his break in peace, maybe I’m missing something but I can’t see the problem

I have learned some lessons
