tacho analysis

a few weeks ago i had to use spare truck, as paper tachos, unfortunately the discs got damaged by some liquid leaking on them and are difficult to read tbh, however they were scanned and sent off for checking… and I now have infringement saying I only had 41 mins break, Ive got the disc and from what I can work out I have had over 45 mins break…

how likely can it be for analysis companies to ■■■■ -up bearing in mind the damage to the tacho,s …

It’s always been difficult to read a chart to within a minute but they shouldn’t be more than 4 minutes out.

If it bothers you and you’re sure you had over 45 minutes break you could always query it and ask for the chart scan to be analysed manually.

You obviously didn’t spill enough liquid on it

didnt want to over do it …

tbh they stink, it was one of those liquid airfresheners that plug onto the air vent, didnt realise there was one in the centre box when I put a weeks worth of discs in there…

surprising what damage a little bit did though, made all the discs go black…

I simply wouldn’t worry about it and I doubt your employer would be worried. It’s 4 minutes from an analogue chart that is defaced/damaged anyway.

If the employer is bothered, sign your infringement and add a note regarding your belief and move on
