Switzerland

Traveling to Switzerland over Xmas in the car just after info on how the toll roads work thanks in advance

Went there in August, you need a vignette to drive on their motorway and you can get that at the border, off the top of my bald head it’s just over £30 give or take and you can pay in Swiss Francs or Euro’s, we paid in Euro’s as the exchange rate worked out about £2 cheaper and we needed two of them. It needs to go in front windscreen and this year it’s a red one

If however you’re not going on any motorway you don’t need anything, where are you heading to ?.

I know it drove past there a few years ago on me way to Italy, if you’re coming back in New Year you would need one for 2015 as well but they are valid for the whole year, I’ve got rid of mine otherwise I’d have posted it to you.

Enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the info much appreciated

You will only need to purchase the one vignette. The 2015 vignette is available from the 1st December 2014 and is valid from that date until 31st January 2016. The cost is 40chf.
