As I was in Brighton delivering today and was nighting out I called in to my uncle to grab a shower and quick cuppa also took a split rest
Would any of you stop at a friends or relations for a cuppa or shower or grub ?

I used to have a few “friends” scattered around the UK and a couple in Milan! Made a point of stopping by when circumstances allowed!! Not for a cup of tea though!! 
Edit…this was in the 80s and 90s when I was SINGLE! 
I had lots of friends in the Spanish bag houses and you get a shower there .
And some you could spend time with on their time off, hire a car to sight see .
Spend a day at the water parks , a few nights at a hotel or came with me in the lorry.
My ‘mate’ told me he had a special friend at the Texas club near La Jonquera, little EE girl who told her parents she was working as nanny and to study for a Spanish family and my ‘mate’ used to weekend there quite a lot and over a period of time gave her a lot of Euros to help pay for her study courses etc, or so my ‘mate’ told me. €400 in one weekend alone, and she used to call him her English husband
