Ghost stories are just that, stories. Most ghost stories concern a regular, very detailed apparition or event, but it never occurs when somebody looks for it, nor can it ever be recorded.

A45 Knightlow Hill, the Phantom Lorry

This is a local legend for me, grew up a stone’s throw away. Probably about fifteen years ago I was cycling down the hill and saw a huge hole in a picket fence. About a week later I saw a piece in the Rugby paper that a car had swerved to miss a lorry coming down the hill on the wrong side of the road one night

Happened a few times but the first one in my time that I’m aware of
