I used to work for PDL (Pleroma) and they used to have a couple of sainsbury’s liveried trailers for the northern irish work. When it came to an end they sent me to Morrisons Gadbrook with it. I was on the bay by the time they had noticed, it was amazing how quick I got my notes done when they did notice. They asked me what the score was with bringing ‘that’ in, I told them I was delivering your stuff. They weren’t happy but didn’t quite know what to say to me or how the should approach the situation ha ha. Idiots

I’d buy a round to see his clerk, the loaders or shunters get it in the neck (for a change?) …or are drivers supposed to be content at (some of us) being on less wedge than this time last year and still be expected to be the brains of the outfit?

Stobbart pulls into waltham point, reports to the office, and tells them hes here to collect a shop delivery ( as stobbie is now doing sainsbos shop work )
So they tell him what bay to go onto for loading…until the management realises that hes got a tesco` trailer behind him…so swiftly tells the driver to get off the bay, and go forth and multiply…tail between the legs scenario…made me laugh though.

The story goes that Irlams’ once tried to collect a load from Coca Cola at Wakefield using a…Pepsi trailer! Haha, hahaha, etc.

when i was on for the Muppet Road Show we used to pick up at McVites Glasgow and and take the Biscuits down to Asby Del A Zouche (sp) in a Odbins Trailer… and we would also pick up carpets from Kiddminster in the same tralers… :laughing: never once did i carry alcohol in them trailers :cry: :wink: :wink:

I used to do both those runs when they had them. I never had booze in them trailers either :unamused:

I was once sent to do a delivery into Morrisons with an ASDA trailer :exclamation: This happened when I was with NFT and I will tell you that was the quickest tip ever at Morry’s Wakefield :wink:

I regulary see Matalan units pulling Argos trailers on the M1 :open_mouth:
And just the other night I was overtaken by a Morrisons Volvo FH (yes an FH not an FM :open_mouth: ) pulling a TNT trailer :open_mouth:
