Even when driving?
I’m sure Mr McNairn will be pleased to hear that.

my.pinkfroot.com/page/stobart-finder
No thanks mate I can afford £2.99.
I had a look on the website it seems aimed at kids and spotters
Can you type in a reg then and get what the wagons doing plus load?
I just don’t understand the fuss Spotters will be all over a wagon anyway and ■■■■■■ don’t need an App to nick your diesel.
I can see the criminals finding a use for it.
Park outside a factory/warehouse that produces or distributes high value goods, clock fleet number of Stobart wagon, check where it parks up for the night.

I understand wot your saying bud but the description on website is not a real reflection of the app !! U can type in either the fleet number, reg number or the girls names to track a certain vechie or just pick a random truck on the map that will then tell u all the info for that specific wagon I know a few of my friends have dowmloaded it for curiosity and they are really shocked with the content of it

My first reaction upon seeing this, Stobart are out of their freaking minds.Upon thinking about it my considered opinion, Stobart are of their freaking minds.
If I was a customer who’s loads who have instantly been put at risk I’d be looking for a new haulier as soon as possible.
Let’s have a sweep steak on how long before its pulled when they realise how stupid they’ve been.
Agree on all.

Absolutely…For the criminal it will make it cheaper, more accessible and allow them to be more organised.
For the travelling fraternity, it is like manna from heaven for them.
What an incredibley stupid thing to do

Fair enough then I wasn’t aware of that does it show where a wagon has been i.e a whiskey factory etc?

It doesn’t show any buildings on it but does show the area and if u zoom in it shows u the road the truck is on so if u know we’re the whiskey factory is u know what truck is in there!!! Very stupid I know
This is fantastic for the rest of us.
Now, we can go to sleep safe in the knowlege that the crims are using the ESL app to get a wagon they know has valuables on it. Our loads and diesel are safe.
If I was still doing a bit for ESL I am fairly sure I would have case against this based on my human rights and privacy laws ?
Does the driver have to sign a waiver ?
Very uneasy feeling about all that. Not good.
It shows that the company care more for money than the safety of its staff and the customers load.
A phone call to the union may be in order.
You know the more I think of this the more insane it seems.
When I started making videos then website it was a very conscious decision to never give too much away. Hence most people who follow the vids would struggle to name any of our customers. Simply because of mine and other drivers safety because like most companies we carry the odd expensive load and and also giving other companies too much info. So, if a lowly driver with zero public profile compared to Stobart can think of this why can’t some overpaid numpty say, ‘oh, hang on, this may not be a good idea’.
Morons
I had a look out of curiosity and my nearest truck was doing 52mph on a single carriageway section of the A5. Wonder if Beverley Bell has an iPhone.

This is a whole can of worms which I expect fully to be pulled once someone with a brain realises the full ramifications of what they have done.
As everyone has said, It’s ridiculous.
Just checked the 3 trucks nearest to me:
1 is obviously on a break down in a very dark dingy corner of an industrial estate, near where a collection is done for a very valuable load.
2 is on break in a layby
3 is doing (according to the app) 53 mph along a single lane road.
Now I really don’t care what speed anyone is doing along what road, that’s their business, but I’m genuinely concerned that within 10 miles of me there are 2 drivers in isolated locations, one possibly with a high value load on, and anyone with an apple device and £2.99 can track them.
Like has been pointed out, you could very easily track a truck from a high value pickup, wait till they park up at night, once they’ve been idle for say 4 hours they will more than likely be asleep so you can go rip their curtains up - or worse.
I think this is a very distasteful example of a company really disregarding the safety of its drivers, their vehicles and the load.
Alex
It also shows your speed? The coppers will be downloading this aswell
