I have recently applied for a job at Stobarts depot in Hams Hall. Does anyone have any information on the hours, runs, wages etc…?
Also been offered a job at Geopost (Interlink Express/Parceline) in West Bromwich, any information on the working conditions would also be much appreciated.
Got a mate that does the antisocial shift for Eddies@Hamms Hall - all to RDCs, likes working for them and money (at least for that shift - nights over the weekend & 3 weekdays)) is great… He seems to get on there fine and isn’t the type to sit there and take ■■■■ !!
i would advise you to stay away from there if u like working max hours phonin everytime u get to a delivery point and phone when leaving if you like that sort of work then its for u when i was there the gaffer,s name was keith he was a decent bloke u will spend most of your day,s in kings lynn or bridgewater and drive a nice03 reg daf cf
jonboy:
so do the hams hall boys just run that contract or do they move around (like pull tescos trailers and other eddie work)
I know that when work has been slow for Purina they do some work for Tesco’s, although I think to date he has only been pulling trailers around Crick !!!

I used to work at Geopost. Working conditions are excellent. Paid bank holidays plus 20 days. Everything is done by the book and there’s plenty of time to sit in the excellent drivers restaurant.
I loved it. Unfortunately as a Linehaul Driver at a Parceline depot, the 7am Saturday finish wasn’t that great when you’ve got kids.

and welcome to t/netuk
Thanks for that Teddy. I spoke to a guy who did a bit of agency work for them and he said it’s a long days work and he was sent to Kings Lynn quite a bit. I hear though that the money isn’t too bad. What are they like on experience, I only have 6 months experience C&E.
