Yes because I’m a filthy undomesticated animal.

I have never understood why people wouldn’t want to make their own lives easier. I see the guys that deliver to us, tugging on curtains that are stuck. “Oh you just have to pull it really hard past that post. Etc”
To much like HARDwork to me. Give me SMARTwork any day of the week.
Also forgot to mention. Take a look at the track the runners sit in, as long it’s not 16ft in the air, and check that there aren’t any pinch points that have been made by FLT been rammed into the side of it while putting a pallet on.
The Sarge:
This is NOT what I thought it was going to be about
Ha ha, I was thinking the same
that have been made by FLT been rammed into the side of it while putting a pallet on.
This is a pet hate of mine. I’ve nothing against FLT drivers in general but over time, I’ve noticed that over half the damage done to trucks is not by the driver but by incompetent forkies… Worst being, it usually happens overnight and the pricks don’t have the balls to own up to it.
One of ours was stuck on a job for an hour trying to lever open the track that had just been crunched, by the tele handler doing the unload, with a stubby screwdriver. Not even a sorry from the mug at the wheel of the tele handler.
That’s because every man and his dog has a forklift licence now as that’s the first thing the job centre does in way of retraining. 80% of the time were the only ones driving forklifts to load up as most of our stuff is rdc’s so it’s all pallet truck stuff.
Just got back from the yard and luckily the tracks were fine so just gave them a good spray with silicone and wow what a difference it’s made.
Thanks guys

Grease is a no no as it attracts all sorts of other grime and after making them nice to slide for the first day, they will soon clog up.
that’s what I’ve been told as well but haven’t seen it happen. always grease the wheels if I have the trailer for more than a few weeks, every month or so afterwards. had the same curtainsider for two years a while back, never had a problem with the wheels clogging up. if you keep the curtain tight then there is not much of a chance of dirt getting in and on the rails.
Type silicone spray in to Amazon.

Hence the weekly part. Keeps it all ship shape. I hate anything that doesn’t work as efficiently as it can.
That’s called OCD.
Little bit. But I just don’t care.
If I’m quick then sometimes I have up to an hours wait for the next batch of turf for the afternoon, I could sit on my assignment, or I could give everything a good lube
Everything is better when it is wetter

While you’re waiting for your next batch of turf, I’m going to your house to turn all the baked bean tin labels around the wrong way!

Better still, write average contents 1045 beans on the label. That’s the OCD equivalent of a red rag to a bull.

LOL - Quality!
That’s fine, just don’t let the toilet paper hang the wrong way off the roll.
That really gets my goat

LOl - Me too!
OMG, I’m OCD as well…
That should have read ■■■, not assignment, bloody auto correct.
■■■■■■■■■
Do I change the double post? Or leave so it matches?
Bugger I don’t know. I’ll be worrying about that for at least 3 seconds.
I use a diesel and engine oil mix in a squirty bottle because it’s readily available and free.
works fine and you don’t have to worry about dust and dirt clogging the runners because it’s free you can use it to flush the ■■■■■ away.
petrol and a good synthetic two two stroke oil works even better but not many bottles can handle it and i don’t know what it’s like with nylon runners.
