Spoors transport sunderland

does anyone remember spoors transport from sunderland. i worked for them from 1977 to 1985, serving my time in the garage and driving artics when i got my class one there when i was 21. they ran a mixed fleet on general haulage, mainly f86 and f88. mostly to london area and re loading reels out of snodland paper mill

Seeing the Better Bake trailer there reminded my did’nt RB take over that work?

I was interested in the forktruck as we had one just like that. It was driven by yours truly, that one is posh though cos it has a cab on it :stuck_out_tongue:

I remember them twin splitter, i lived on hylton bank, used to see them all the time ricky warne is still at freeways he used to drive for them, my old man used to park in the water board at the top of the bank sometimes parked just outside on the road he is called stan fahy been on for freeways for 37year now, now that was a bank and a half to climb in the winter we used to make money when we were kids pushing the cars up and clearing the snow

thanks mark
