My question is primarily in relation to Scotland, but is this summary correct?
A National speed limit sign (white disc, black ■■■■■) you drive your speed ie 60 mph motorway Eng/Wales 60 mph motorway Scotland
60 mph Dual C/Way Eng/Wales 50 mph Dual C/Way Scotland
50 mph Sgl C/Way Eng/Wales 40 mph Sgl C/Way Scotland
When an actual speed limit number is displayed ie 30, 40, 50 do the rules change?
In Scotland, if I am on a single carriageway and the number displayed is 50, should I be doing 40. Likewise if on a dual C/Way in Scotland and it shows a 50 sign, can I still do 50.
A formula would be good.
Thanks for any help

Correct, yes 40 if 50 is displayed. It’s always going to be the slowest out of all the rules that apply.
