Trailer miscoupled and fell off the unit a few miles back down the road.Driver obviously decided to go back to try to retrieve it and decided that reversing back was going to take too long and was too dangerous.
That was stolen. The driver jumped out and left it rolling

Yeah, there seems to be more “special” drivers these days. In fact they seem to be multiplying daily. 
He must have been terrified when faced with dozens of vehicles all going the wrong way…
