has anyone on here ever been caught by the spec cameras on tower bridge london going faster than 20mph? do you get any breathing space or are they really strict?

Yep got caught, and prosecuted, 43mph.

IIRC it’s only an 18t weight restrition on the bridge, limiting for the majority on here.
not me personally but one of our drivers got done at 24mph in a car so not much give and take 
He thought he was doing 30 mph though so they may not be that accurate or his speedo was a bit out
Never been able to do more than 5mph over it always bumper to bumper when i’ve taken a 18 t over it
