Just wondered if anyone has memories of the Aylesford Depot circa 1976 and onwards into the 80’s. Joined it straight from serving 15years in HM Forces. The Fish run !! tramping in a Bedford TK 1800 and nights out in the Tautliner on top of the load. NO NIGHT HEATERS THEN. In the winter I used to carry an old door which was pitched off the Parcel Shelf and onto the Steering wheel with a box on the passenger side. Curtains made by wifey and the engine running all night just to keep warm. Are those were the days !!!
