rosser’s of pontlliw ran an age old fleet of leyland’s and aec’s.this 8 legger was restored several years ago.while i don’t want to appear critical,i can clearly remember rosser’s and with the greatest respect this aec looks brand new compared to the battered, dented worn out motors they ran.great to see all the same!

hello pete a mate of mine has got an old Rosser AEC he is restoring i will try and get some pics and a reg no

hi paul, thanks for that,i would love to see some pictures on the thread.i bet you’r mate is a busy boy restoring one of rosser’s,that would make the winter fly by.   .

Hi,
Bridgend depot was a regular run from Oldbury with castrol oil packaged products for me, sometimes loading back from british tissues, or timber from Newport dock. An easy day and a chance to get decent grub cheap from the exellent canteen they had at Bridgend depot.

my old man worked at the brs bridgend yard from 77 to 84 and have said about the canteen being good and had some characters working there pursey Bailey, billy best bitter, jock Mcbride,Trevor Owen to name but a few another one of the good firms gone

my mate graham ward hails from ammanford in west wales,in his time driving and fitting there’s not much in the uk transport industry that he hasn,t experienced.this is graham’s erf ec14 olympic used during the summer months to transport his 800hp tractor to pulling events all over europe.this truck is currently with us having a little “tlc”.

graham very kindly replaced a kippered brake chamber on my peterbilt the other day, enabling me to go out on new years day to sharpness docks near gloucester, thanks mate.

an early gap tilt.

tipping coil in ghent?

after the 400,graham bought a daf 2800.

in 1985 he had this new 401.

graham had this erf for a while,it went very very well!
