Good to see the Andersons new ERF, look forward to seeing it out and about next year. Have you noticed Andrew we seem to have an a predominance of ERF’s among our members who live between Swansea and Carmarthen? [daibootsy,EC14 and now this one]
Also the Caerphilly area seems to have attracted a few Scania V8’s.

Brings back memories of the 60’s “dai B”, I had the priviledge of meeting both Gwynn, the old man, and Vivienne his son on a number of occaisions when we were in their depot with the Octopus and trailer. Jack Reece was their manager and where we always got a re-load off Bowens,mainly tin plate for Lancs or Carlisle,on the odd occaision when they couldn’t fix us up we loaded off Trevor Phillips but Bowens was our main provider.They were really grand people to deal with and at that time would probably be the No 1 haulier in S.Wales,well they seemed to be to me,I was only in my teens after all !! Aye the Bowens, Ive loaded many a time off them usually Bryngwyn Mill, allways for Westhougthon MBC, , like Dennis says good folk to deal with, the only one I new was Viv, Nice chap, his work boots were allways shining. Happy days. Larry
Blueline Transports trailer company DRAGON Trailers set up by John Keene R.I.P which was fetched up from Bournemouth to start it up and also converted a lot of ex 20ft skellys and the odd tipper trailers into coilers after theyed been tipped over
