Hi Ianto,
Member Dai Cap whom needs no introduction to any of us on here,a very well known, now retired gentleman previously posted,a while back amongst our 728 pages somewhere, lol. That he bought out Foard Transport, during Maybe? the late 70’s or early 80’s.Tbh,I can’t recall the company operating.Hope this helps?
Regards Andrew.

Good morning,
Re: Foard Tpt I think you could be correct about the fact that Big Dai bought them out, it definitely rings a bell.

Hi Allan,

Hi all,
Here’s an old view of the A48 approaching Ely Bridge, difficult to imagine that being the main road in and out of South Wales,In the days before the M4 opened. Also the sad remains of a JR Atki, looks a fairly new lorry to me?

Pete 359,
Good morning,
Thanks for the photos as I can relate to the to both the BRS and the JR photos.
I remember as a kid calling into the BRS depot at North Dock Swansea for breakfast with the old man when heading West Riding shotgun in a Leyland Octopus.
The JR Atki LTX 904E was on the Rees & Kirkby job in Morriston and I would have driven it but I don’t remember
the accident that caused that damage.
Cheers, Allan

Tony Morgan’s Mack Interstater was a good looking truck. Did it survive or did it end up being scrapped ?

Hi Dean,
Thanks for the MACK picture,I loved that truck as a lorry Mad 12 year old,Some say it was driven by Bob Webster to a central London Hotel, where an Arab bought it? Others say it’s been seen in a yard in Holland in the last two years. So,as you’ve guessed, nobody really knows?
Regards Andrew.

Hi Andrew just out of interest was Tony Morgan the first s Wales haulier to have American trucks over here
