hi all, i was talking to a central garage driver in cardiff yesterday the boss dai simons, he had a firm in the steelworks abbey transport ,andrew you will know him ,he passed away jan this year i was shocked when he said , just to let you know another character joining the trailer park in the sky
i shunted for him & his old man don rip dai

yes i do remember them.there is a photo of one of their shunting tractors on here.didn’t mustard gas shunt for them?or am i getting confused? a few months ago,i didn’t believe my mate when he told me owens had an eight wheeler running for tarmac,shows how much i know about the south wales road transport industry :blush: :smiley:

i remember mustard gas shunting for Denzil Evans then he went on his own loading trailers for
a few companies as i recall and later running taxi"s

Hi Barry, yep, I knew Trevor, looked like Amos from Emmerdale!, drove the S80 Foden carrying out of Shotton , then went onto regular nights with Shones when TNT first ran from Flint, along with Dave Hatswells. Was a local lad, moved south in 1986. “appy dayz”
