This is one of Bob Davies ( R. I. P. ) trucks, I think he was an ex W G Davies driver. We sold our ERF on the previous pages to him.

Dai, anymore comments like that and you will qualify for one of those Steelboys anoraks!..like a fleece but keeps that fine rain out at Gaydon!

This weeks caption competition:
“what is the bloke saying, who is stood at the back of this truck?”
a) Is this one of those Sandbach Atkis?
b) Well…never seen a rear steer truck before, I suppose dumpers have used this concept for years, but were is the bucket?
c) Very good, when you did the trailer swap, what did you swap it for?
d) My…thats a big horn, no wonder it needs such a big air tank thingy

Yeah keep them coming mate.
… yard shot from the bent F10 earlier
The Scania and Volvo with the blue and red stripes on the side of the units look like Taylors of Lichfield tankers
Great shots and content from everyone, fair play.
The black and white perfect period shots, mostly 4 wheelers, mixed flatbed fleet. About that time we were running, TKs at 7.5 ton, a boxer, D series Ford and a Guy big j4 with a 401 leyland motor all at 16 ton gvw. All flatbeds, chains , ropes and sheets.
If you could handle these then you moved up to artics, again flatbeds. Proper lorries, proper drivers.
Regards Paul.

good effort lads .some cracking photos i think? glan-rhyd transport still run this 8 wheeler,24 years later.
