I think we will see a lot more Mercedes on the road in the near future John. Now that VW own Scania and M A N I think most of the wagons will be German.
Cheers Dave.

Some older Scania’s in TR Phillips Caerphilly yard.

i can remember many yards like this :sunglasses:

proper haulage firms always had a puddle in the yard…even in the summer…

When you got home and you didnt take your boots off, you had always got some 5th wheel grease on your sole!

They all had a dog, or a workshop cat

LOL
SBF10

Very true Graham, always used to be the remains of a truck/trailer deteriorating in the corner somewhere

I hope your not going all “jobs worth” & HSE on us Mr. Cooper as you may just be in line to have your “nuts” roasted over a “sally”!! How else could you be expected to blast a bit of heat into a corrugated iron clad workshop of yesteryear!! Its OK for you,you just go back into your warm office or nip into the low bake oven for your brew!!! Don’t know your born you young 'uns!! nowt wrong with a Salamander in the corner of the 'shop when it’s -10 out in the yard!! Cheers Dennis.!!!

hi dennis,
aaaah the salamander fire, now there’s an adventure.i am very biased with these devices as i vividly recall our business neighbours premises catching fire when one of those bloody things spewed oil all over the floor and it ignited.that said,i spent many a happy hour stood around many of them,in joint’s,j&m etc.etc.etc
regards andrew.
