Does look a little wide, I bet you get one bore of the Brynglas tunnels all to yourself with one of those.

Good to see local firms supporting it, have a good day and get someone on camera duty.

Hopefully a better image of Daiecho143âs Dadâs mystery F88, hes still looking for info on it if anyone can help. The reg and TIR plate show up now and you can just make out the shape of the signwriting on the door. [are we still thinking Rhys Davies?]
Dai was also asking if anyone remembers an R Williams transport firm from Spytty area of Newport in the 70âs
Neil.
neil,
just sticking my neck out here,it looks like rhys davies,s f88.i say that because the backdrop of the garth mountain could be in evidence,i remember r williams transport and i think they were green with yellow sign writing, back in the seventies area codes were adhered to therefore my theory could hold water with ny being in the catchment of taffs well, where as if the truck may have been r williams it would have carried either ax,wo,dw. just my humble opinion.
regards graham.
Graham,
I too can recognise the shape of the mountain behind as the one near the Rhys Davies Taffs well yard.
Neil.
Just been talking to an ex John Evans transport and Cardiff international driver, he thinks R Williams were in what later became Sheddicks garage near Monsanto and Orb works in Newport.
Neil.
Two of South Walesâ more unusual Scaniaâs.
I will ring my cousin in Corby, Northants tomorrow and he will tell us all about R Williams of Newport, he worked for them on middle east, regular Bandar abbas driving green 2800 Daf ,regards Rowland.
