Something a bit different

Okay, it’s not truck related but I thought folk on here would like to see something other than trucks and a couple shots over a steam train the rest of the scarborough coast and the model boats that was on at the park. Anyway enjoy, I wasn’t going to do a diary as I’m a bit tired and I’ve only uploaded a few pictures not all of them just yet

Well I’ll start with the single truck picture I took on Tuesday after I went down to have a chat with the TM at plasmor as he asked me down to tell him how I got on with my gcse results and he was impressed and was shocked when I said I wanted to drive trucks for a living he was shocked saying it would be a waste of my ‘gift’ I just said I would be doing both as it’s good to combine both photography and the trucking industry, I know I’m good now but I plan to get better in time :grimacing: :grimacing:

Anyway time for the pictures I’ve took over the past two days. To start with, I ended up wasting an hour in Leeds train station so I got off the train and I went up to go to the Starbucks that’s on the top bit of the station, but was closed due to a power cut :unamused: :unamused: Mum shouted over anyway at the steam train coming through the station I didn’t know what she was on about until the whistle on the train went, I didn’t get it in time to get the front end and I wasn’t rushing about to get a picture of a train

Yesterday I ended up going to this park as we heard shots going off which sounded like an air rifle/fireworks so we ended up checking it out. To find out there was a load of minature battleships on the lake was certainly a sight to see  At the start I thought these things were controlled by remote control until I saw the people inside the mini boats :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

The crowd turn out was rather big as well, reminded me a little bit of what it’s like at the truckfests around the main arena, which makes me a little more excited for next weekend as it’s my first truckfest of this year due to financial and family restrictions it is the only chance I’ve had this year but I will be going to Scotland next year

So I got dragged away from here and went trailing to the south beach and anyone who’s been to scarborough should know about the long way down to get there and those who don’t know…it’s a long way down. Got a picture of the monument while I was at the top of the hill.

Spectacular scenery though, always like a good view

Brushing up a little on my abstract photography   Considering I completely missed it out on my GCSE coursework book :open_mouth:

Seems I did a little bit of everything on thursday, a bit of Trainspotting, boat spotting and now bus spotting   I lead an exciting life :unamused:

This is your lot for now I’ll upload the rest tomorrow

I thought it would be good to post something different for a change instead of the same old truck thread   It was just a way for me to celebrate my good results and keep in touch with the skills I’ve ‘learnt’ at college

Hope you like them anyway

Cheers

This thread is FULL OF FAIL. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Warm sunny day in Scarborough with tons of hot chicks walking about wearing very little and you’re stood around taking pics of trains and boats. WTF. If there was ever any doubt that you were gay, there is none now.

If you don’t like it Rob, don’t ■■■■■■■ read it, It’s that simple. I personally couldn’t give a ■■■■ what you think of me or this thread. And you’re right, there was plenty of hot girls in Scarborough but looking at my pictures you can tell I didn’t exactly take pictures every second of the ■■■■■■■ day purely because I didn’t want too. I may like taking pictures but I don’t want to be doing it every minute of every day every week of every year. I need time off too.

And if you feel you have nothing useful to say, just ■■■■ off and let the people who do have something useful to say have there say.

I’ll post the rest on tonight, off out to see the gf and get some stuff for college on Tuesday. Not that you’ll believe it Rob me being gay and all :unamused: :unamused: But then again you might have to tell someone who gives a ■■■■ :grimacing:

Cheers

I think you’ll find he only says stuff like the above to wind people like you up and I’m affraid to say 9 times out of 10 he succeeds, so if you want him to stop just simply stop biting.

It was actually a tongue-in-cheek post but I’ve come to realise now that he’s a bit of a sensitive type. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think there’s a forum storm brewing anyway - been a lot of vitriol flowing this past few days. Can’t wait. :grimacing:

You gotta have a Diploma in English Bad Language Studies if you want to be a trucker.

You can say that I was picked on at school hence why I bite the bait every time. I don’t like people who try to put me down the reason why I’m very vocal I learnt not to take ■■■■ from anyone regardless who it is. But if it makes you feel better Rob i’ll get some exclusive pictures at the truckfest next week for you see if you approve of the talent I snap up

The last bit of the diary anyway, I’m going to keep it short and sweet as I’ve got a bit of a headache so I won’t be writing much, there isn’t many pictures either so it’s a little second part diary ish :unamused:

I liked the gold pattern on this lampost then I found most of them had this pattern on them

I got bored so I got a couple pictures of a pigeon and a seagul, it’s easy to see why the birds like it here when you see the size of them :open_mouth: :open_mouth: it’s hard to tell which birds are fatter the ones at Scarborough or the ones in Pontefract town centre

That’s the lot anyway, nothing special just a little change of scenery from trucks and truck like things. But it will be back to trucks next week   So until next time that’s all folks

I used to go and watch the realistic sea battles in Peasholme park every year until they knocked our hotel down. We stayed for a fortnight at the beautiful Pavilion Hotel and were treated like royalty. My friend still owns a holiday cottage in Hackness and it was ideal for visiting Olivers Mount or watching the RAC rally when they used the Yorkshire forests.

It was certainly a sight to see, I’ve never seen anything like it before so was certainly a new experience for me. It helped that the day was nice as well also with the B&B being just up the road from the park where it was taking place  Hopefully it won’t be the last time I see something like this

Cheers

A few of my snaps & one of yours. If you are amazed by Yorks then you have a lot of treats coming to you when you start trucking.

LOL @ the kid’s face in the last pic - he wants a piece of that! :stuck_out_tongue:

@ JTF looking fwd to chick pics - the popularity of thread will go skywards so it would be a double win.

It’s one of the reasons I can’t wait to become a truck driver, I’ve seen some really beautiful sights out on the road when I’ve been with my dad and granddad. and it’s only been days out or a week or two away. Unfortunately my Granddad had to take early retirement due to ill health. But after nearly 45 years in this industry he’s earned his rest!! But I always think, I’ve seen the beautiful sights just being out in a truck for a day. Imagine all the places I could see day in day out and get paid for doing it. &&& Rob I’ll make sure I get a picture of that IRT chick even though I can’t remember her name

I can’t wait for the truckfest, been waiting for it all year   Hopefully it won’t be crap and the weather will be good fingers crossed!!

Cheers

Jonny

Few more.

harry:

She looks happy to see you Harry. :stuck_out_tongue:

Her name is Dear…so don’t ask for favours!

And Jon, when you want to take a shot -just do it. Don’t faff around asking permission. Shoot first & explain afterwards.

More stuff - the gals are all hiding in the HDD.

I usually do that, take pictures answer questions later. But I’ve never liked taking pictures of people, just something that doesn’t appeal to me.

I stick to what I know best and that’s vehicles and landscapes. But I won’t say no to getting a snap with lisa from IRT

Cheers

The Lawman didn’t know wether to nick me or or wish me luck.
You will find that if you show shots without people in 'em your audience will soon start yawning.

That’s the usual case, But most of the pictures I take are for college so I try not to add people in my shots. But I’ll make a few exceptions on saturday
