When I was working at Eurotunnel (must have been late 90s) they very cleverly bought a well tired Leyland Cruiser 4x2 with a brand new Bunce salt and brine body with a plough on the front.

It was OK but they gave it to the cleaners to use. None of them had HGV licences, so a sudden flurry of lessons and tests followed.

I tried impressing them on them the importance of washing all the salt off it, but less than two years later the wagon had rotted away and the cleaners all had jobs (elsewhere) as HGV drivers…

:confused: How does the man who drives the snowplough get to work? :smiling_imp:
