i have a snooper s7000 . i checked my map in december on their website and it was out of date so i purchased it online and downloaded it to the unit. it also made the map better as in junction view and journey timer etc.i was happy, i have had quite a few instances where the maps have been, well, out of date as in a new road has been open for 2+ years, anyway you get what i mean. i went on their website tonight and i found where they now do a one fee for lifetime map updates, so i thought id have a look and see to which their website tells me that my map IS OUT OF DATE!!! ive had it less than a month!!! 60 of my hard earned pounds for nothing?? anyway ive sent an e mail, i just hope someone will reply from them because im ■■■■■■ off big time.i carry a tomtom 1000 live with me as it was a present as a back up and in every single case the map has been 100% spot on. unfortunetly i cant get on with the tom tom in my truck as it likes sending me down narrow car routes, but the tomtom is ace in my car and when i sometimes drive a sprinter or vw caddy. heres hoping for an e mail…

I’m not happy with the snooper having paid well over £350 for it in the 1st place i will not pay them another penny for updates,on my 1st trip to Spain i was on a motorway nr Bilbao which it didnt recognise,at the time it was 2 weeks old.

Thanks for the link, I will have to think about contacting them soon, but the lifetime offer may be iffy for me as my S2000 likes to hang up a bit regularly and not update my position, sometimes on the motorways and sometimes in cities. So with the “lifetime” being paired to the unit you buy it for it may be more prudent to do this when I have to replace the S2000.

got a reply from snooper today after a few emails back and forth tey say they have enabled me a map update through their website because the new map has come out less than a month after i purchased it, i got home tonight and tried to update it through their website as per their instructions , and now their website now says there is no map update for my unit■■? ive sent them another email…

You will with Snooper, I had fun claiming my annual subscription back off them for the “up-to-date” camera database, which I never used. Never in a rush anymore and never did use it, as it always seemed to be outof date around here?! 
Boy was that a challenge with the email ping pong, best of luck with your match with them!

I ordered one of these last week and havent recived it yet. After an email to the company, they said snopper have held back their range for a massive software & map update before dispatching. Hope this helps!
all sorted new map downloaded today.credit when its due they have sorted me out pronto, just checked on my unit for a road that was missing in avonmouth thats been open for 2 years,and its now on my mapping.lets hope that this new mapping is up to date all over the country■■? found communication with snooper very positive and replies e mailed back to me quickly. if you have any issues e mail them.
