Hi all I recently bought a second hand snooper s7000 from eBay for 271.00 plus postage, now I have tested it around Preston area and it did well and advised me around a low bridge, but it is a 2009 model it states in the memory and was last updated then, so I went onto the snooper site and it says there are no updates for your snooper, now I don’t think this is correct there must be new roads since then or is the map updated via satellite,I hope so because the map’s are super expensive. so if there is somebody who has one of these sat nav’s or know’s about them advice welcome. my whole journey into the HGV game so far has been a nightmare.
i would call them up. i not long ago bought a 2nd hand snooper speed camera /lazer detector and i had to post it to them to get it updated which was done free then 3.00 per month charge to get more updates

how do you get your £3 pm updates ? do you still need to send it off or are you now able to do this from your computer ■■?
I think you are confused there are software updates which are free then there are map updates which you pay for. You go to there snooper site to pay for the maps and download them
my snoopers not a satnav ,its a speed camera and lazer detector . i couldnt update it so i rang them up and they said send it in for free check and update as they told me summat had changed at their end . i then paid 3 quid per month so i can update it from my home in the future
Dear me, new map for mine is around £100.00 i should of bought a new one.
I think you can pay a slightly higher fee for lifetime updates which might be the way to go, I may be getting that confused with Tom Tom though.
To be honest mine is about 5 years old and I’ve never updated it, still does the job. You just have to use a modicum of common sense & revert to following signage when new roads are built.

Good show
Mine has a mental breakdown on the Weymouth road that is a few years old.Where that hill was before.
And does the same on the dual carrigway to Newark. It goes mental.
But the tv is very good but sometimes no reception.

But it won’t take you near any dodgy bridge’s ?
So far it has not sent me to a low bridge. It has a funny turn once in a while or is that driver?
