I was wondering if anyome had experienced this issue with the above mentioned unit…
When switching on, it comes up with the snooper loading screen as normal, but then comes up with a black screen with a red band of Chinese looking writing, and then just restarts 
Is there a way to hard reset the unit?

Strange. Especially the chinky-looking writing. Is it a Kosher unit? Had no probs so far with mine. I regularly check for and update firmware and anything else going. Have you updated lately? There is of course a factory reset in settings, but you risk losing all your stuff if you don`t back it up somehow. I presume you have this manual…

I had an 8500 and the windscreen of the truck leaked after being replaced and that is what mine did. The windscreen company had it looked at and the motherboard was knackered
