Smokeing in trucks

truckyboy:
I find it amazing that since the smoking ban came into force the amount of drivers complaining about the smells…and yet i guarantee these same drivers have in the past frequented pubs and restaurants where people smoked.
I suppose its easier for non smokers to notice smells smokers dont…but what i do complain about is when i`m off and an agency driver gets in my truck is…air lines never put back how i left them…middle axle always left down…pie & pastie crumbs everywhere…spilt coffee…sweet wrappers…sandwich wrappers left behind the seats…and not forgetting the delivery notes and diesel receipts left in the cab for me to put where they belong…which i always do…out the window…

Soooo
why did you post it here then?
you should start a new thread :unamused:

Back on topic, it will all be irrelevant come midnight as I am sure everyone will be giving up smoking in the new year anyway :bulb:

Were the agency guys made familiar with the tackle, or was it the good old school throw them the keys and be surprised when it goes pear shaped?

I reckon anyone would need very specialist training to wear through mud wing tops in a few days, even more adept skills to ruin an adblue system !! Then Middlesboro to Workington in the snow? Not sure not been following the weather up there, hasn’t the 66 been closed? Could of all been the one guy in the same truck!!!

i see the boxing gloves are still off in the smoking/non smoking debate

Who are you on for, Andy? Just being nosey…

jase:
Just for the record Inconsiderate smokers who smoke in my allocated vehicle really ■■■■ me off!!!
I’m a tramper and unfortunately i’ve had my 2 yr old Scania took off me and been given a 12mth old Volvo heap which absolutely reaks of smoke, the amount of ■■■ ash ive had to clean from behind the seats and all over the cab walls and bunks was f… unreal and this is with a company who are"supposed" to do cab checks everyweek.

Christ knows how long it will take to get rid of the smell,i object to my bedding and clothing stinkingof smoke and just find people who leave cabs in this way, total tossers!!

My old man smokes roll ups and drives trucks and when i went with him as a lad,he smoked and his cab never smelt because he had the window open. Why cantpeople who smoke do this perhaps??

My truck was one of the better ones to come from Aveley depot, some of them have got to be valeted due to the state of them.
No sorry as far as i know there is a law about smoking in the workplace and its illegal to smoke in the cab,i also suffer from an allergy to smoking so that is why i’m so anti smoking.

By the way,if there are any Avely drivers on here could you tell me when Stevie Wonder started at your depot doing cab inspections■■?

And I hate Scanias they are ■■■■■■■■
What fleet no do you have jase? I got a wagon fleet no 5476 from somewhere and it was a bloody disgrace.
