Smart tv connections

This might make some of you laugh and I await all the ‘‘Listen Grandad’’ replies  …but here goes.

I replaced my 8 yr old plasma tv with a LG 50 ‘‘smart’’ tv, which is a nice piece of kit.
As you guys will know I can get You tube on it.
I can also get Netflix on it which are both spot on.
Now then …the Grandad bit
I had a dvd and vhs video combi connected to my plasma through a scart lead, I don’t really need the dvd player bit anymore because of Netflix, but my VHS part I use to watch vids I made of the family and friends etc right through the 80s when the kids were little, but on my new tv there is no scart, but tis is what is available.

Anybody help??

Btw I’ll start of the p/takes myself for you.

Maybe something along the lines of a Scart to 3 x RCA Triple Phono AV they basically look like this …

They are also scart to HD cables available but I’ve actually used one of them so I don’t know if they work.

whats the make and model?

most modern smart tvs come with a small data port that you plug a adaptor cable in to use scart. it might be in the document pack that came with the tv, if you dont have it you can usually purchase separately

otherwise as said you can use a rca converter cable…

or…

that will work too.

Ok thanks for the help chaps…I’ll get on it.

Scart to HDM is what you need, be careful, buy cheap buy twice.
