Can anyone give a rough idea of what to expect for shunter pay? Job seems to be 40h/week avergae average, working nights and weekends for a well known supermarket. Ask for C+E. They don’t mention pay which always seems to mean its not good. Any help appreciated.
There are many variables, not least of which is location. But working nights, weekends etc I would be disappointed if the rate worked out at less than £500 weekly. And, IMO, it’s worth a fair bit more.
There is, of course, only one way to find out for sure.

Nights wants to be an absolute minimum of £12 an hour, hopefully more like £14 for weekdays, and weekend nights wants to be £18+ an hour, more when over 40 hours and more for bank hols though there might be some variables depending on if they want you to make up the 48 (presumably average) if your hours are appreciable lower.
The devil will be in the detail, go into this with your eyes open and don’t just take some bods gross figure he plucks out of his arse, you want to know exactly how the pay is made up, most important figure is the basic, below which you cannot earn.
If its a good screw work hard at it and make yourself indispensible, something which isn’t hard to do these days when most people haven’t the foggiest idea about worth ethics.
