Did you like the show Dave and what were your favorite lorries there ? I liked some of the old F88’s and 141’s . Mind you i like the scania’s of quality flowers. Kermit IV and Kermit VI ! they deliver flowers too Shrewsbury and come too most of the Shropshire truck shows . Tony

I like the older lorries best Tony,as you say their were a lot of nice motors there.I think there were more than last year.
I can’t remember the Scania’s you mention.I expect they are among the pics that Tracy took.

Yes it was a good show . Went round while it was quiet too get the pictures i wanted not peoples heads !! Yes my favorite are 70 and 80’s trucks . Mind you the scanias from the 140 - the new R cabbed ones are lovely looking trucks and some of the pictures on the cabs were very good.Its a pity my favorite lorries of all time were the F88 and then F10/12 .My dad drove two F88s the 240 FCR317L a 16 speed one and BLV 320K a 8 speed one they were great lorries and they flew !!But the FH’s just don’t look right . I know that is my opinion but some how new Scania look nice but the new Volvo’s don’t. I know now all the Volvo drivers will be on my case !! Tony
This T cabbed Scania took my eye . It had a huge timer grab on the back and some nice pictures on her .

Are you going to Gaydon Tony.We went last year,thought it was an excellent show with all the older lorries there.I did enjoy Oswestry yesterday,as you say the F88’s and the F10/12’S were nice motors,as was the older Scania’s.I’m always surprised there aren’t many older Daf’s at the shows ie the 2800 and that era.

Hi Dave i won’t be going too go too Gaydon but thats one i want too go too . Maybe next year , but i am going too the truck show on fathers day in Swansea . It was a toss up between gaydon and swansea and swansea won ! I also want too have a drive over the Beacons for a bit of nostalga . Tony
p.s if you are going too go too Gaydon i will wait too see the pictures you take there . Your pictures are better than mine !

he doesnt do flowers no more and hasnt for a long time. hes on containers out of felixstowe

Hi Tony,
Its a shame that Gaydon and Swansea are on the same weekend.Strange that Swansea has clashed with Gaydonn,as Andrew and a lot of the South Wales boys will be at Gaydon on the Steel boys run.
