Why do you call them parasites? They provide you with a service (which you don’t have to use) and charge a fee for that service. If a mechanic fixed your car, would you call him a parasite when he charges you? The argument that you are being charged to get access to your own money is nonsense - you are being charged to use the machine, which someone has to buy, install, maintain and fill with cash. I remember having a list of easily accessible banks where I could park a truck, and I remember cashing cheques at BP truckstops, so I’m happy to pay £2 for convenient cash 24/7.

Of course you should, and if you go to your bank you can. But some cash machines are provided by someone else, they’re nothing to do with any bank, and they have every right to charge for the service.

Just use your card in the shop or cafe. Simple.
Plus most shops give cashback these days.
Oh i have never used one of the ATM’s that charge £2.00 to access your money,and never will at motorway services, As for using a debit/credit card in their retail outlets, yes i am aware that you can do this without additional charges (currently) but as for getting a cashback, not a chance they won’t give cashbacks at m way services ,not the ones i have asked at, probably because they want you to use there rip off ATM, maybe we drivers should compile a list of motorway services that still have ATM’s that are FREE to use,
M25 Cobham M4 Reading are 2 Ithink there is also at least 1 on the M1 , there used to be more , but the parasite corporate "cash zone"got the tender, £2.00 per transaction is taking the ■■■■ by any standards

It’s simple you don’t use the services, you park out side and block the place you don’t pay there big prices in other words you stick together, o sorry I thought I was talking to the French there for a minute but I’m not it’s the English and they are so used to being lead by the nose, follow the leader.

I agree respect works both ways but some drivers can’t speak in a civil manor to people and some can’t even dress and present them selves properly,so would you give them respect■■?.. I hate the way drivers get treated but when you see the behaviour of some of them I think we need to sort out the bad element that are spoiling it for the industry.
Complain to the Duty Manager,have no joy, write to the CEO at the Companies HQ,failing that contact Watchdog or Rip off Britain.
Go back to the “good old days” when you washed in the sink all week and had a good soak in the bath when you got home on Friday night or Saturday morning because “digs” and truck stops didn`t have the luxury of showers. hheeee
I know drivers that wash in a bowl, dump in a bucket and pee in a bottle, cook their own food in the cab/at the roadside and are still cleaner and more hygienic than most.
In the services you have to share with all those other dirty strangers and their nasty habits and germs!
I hate it when you’re stood having a jimmy and in walks daddy and his daughters to use the loos while loads of guys are holding Percy to have a pee!
Oh! And yes, those drivers do dispose of their detritus properly!

agree totally but have complained and got no where.all said and done if we want to stay clean after a day at work in my/our chosen job we are limited to where to find good clean places and they moto/welcome break etc no it, as for sticking together 
in our place weve not had a night out rise for 10yrs tried to get the guy to stand together and ask for rise no chance.trampers all know where the good places are but sometimes we have no option.would like to see the magazine for the drivers tackle the issue of poor standards rather than read about another truck test as most of us really have to just drive what we are given the keys to
