Remember Solent Carter well.
A couple pictures of the Tregastel in its different liveries.
Used to pull for Solent Carter in the late eighties, guy called Nick in the office who defected and helped set up a French company called Eurotir with an office based in Portsmouth…

Any pictures Peter ?
A rare visitor to Poole, one of the normal ferries must have been in dry dock.
The Armorique in 2010.I remember catching this when it first entered service from
Roscoff to Plymouth and it was on its first or second week, and they had not got to
grips with the stabalizers.Talk about all over the place it was rocking well as we
left the harbour at Roscoff.
The Coutances or Purbeck having a help docking, must have been a bit windy as they struggled
in the wind, and needed the tug to push them on to the link span.
For anyone not familiar with Poole its a very shallow shipping lane and has to be dredged
regular to allow the ferries and other ships enough clearance.
Hiya,I don’t know who this mob were but I took the shot near the docks in Poole so I assume they may have shipped out at one time or another,I think the Transcons were ex Birds Eye and had an extra axle shoved up their bums,Cheers Bubbs,

Thanks again for a great pic Bubbs. Hammond and Beaver were John Beaver and Shaun Hammond. A good mate of mine and Cliffy Luxton called Ray Caswell used to drive for them. Had some good and bad experiances with him not only while he drove for them but also when he was on for Interoute and E.F.Phillips and still work with him today on Wyvern Cargo.Cheers Geoff
